Scheduling and Use of Time

  • It should be thoroughly understood that the proper use of the reservation system used by the club is the key to a successful and cooperative operation, with maximum use of the aircraft and minimum number of conflicts among members.
  • With your reservation of each aircraft, you are declaring to the other members that the aircraft are assigned to your custody for the period of time reserved.
  • Only members on the “ACTIVE STATUS LIST” who meets all currency requirements can schedule an aircraft. Therefore, you should follow these rules:

·        When calling the answering service please provide your member name, telephone number, date or dates needed, times needed and which aircraft you are reserving.

  • Scheduled ADFC aircraft must be claimed ON TIME.  An aircraft not claimed within 30 minutes after the scheduled time will then become available to other members for scheduling.
  • You may reserve the aircraft ahead of time, up to 12 months before the flight.
  • Cancel as soon as you know you cannot keep the reservation, whether for weather or other reasons.
  • Contact the answering service, if you are delayed and cannot return on schedule.  All delays should be reported promptly to prevent an undue anxiety, investigation, search and rescheduling of aircraft.
  • Be sure to bring up any problems connected with use of aircraft at the monthly meetings, so that they may be resolved to the satisfaction of all.
  • If you are taking an ADFC aircraft for a week or more, you must contact the Maintenance Officer (Larry Stevens) so he can determine the impact, if any on scheduled maintenance.
