 4S9 VFR PROCEDURES

Safety permitting, avoid flying over nearby residential areas when arriving or departing Mulino Airport. Please follow these procedures when safety and weather permit:

  • Runway 14 is designated the calm wind (winds of 3 knots or less, irrespective of direction) preferred runway

  • Runway 14 shall use  right traffic patterns; runway 32 shall use left traffic patterns.

  • Traffic pattern should keep west of the airport to avoid over flying the Mulino School.

  • No engine run up for maintenance shall occur during the noise sensitive hours of 10:00pm- 7:00am.

Mulino Airport was acquired in 1988 to enhance airspace capacity and appropriate levels of safety within the Port's system of airports. In addition to Mulino, the Port owns and operates general aviation airports in Hillsboro and Troutdale. Each airport is suited to particular segments of the general aviation industry.
